Basilosaurus is a prehistoric whale. It is hostile, eats fish and has a ferocious appearance. It doesn't possess many attributes that other whales have; namely, it is not afraid of Whalers and cannot be tamed by Druids. It is also scared by the Megalodon, a trait exclusive of fish. Due to its functions, it is essentially a large re-skin for sharks.
Basilosaurus was initially mistaken as a mosasaur when first discovered, hence its strange, reptile-sounding name.
