A cat is a small, non-hostile animal, found in all games in the Scribblenauts franchise.
Behavior[]
All dogs are hostile towards cats. Cats attack mice and are attracted to yarn. They will eat poultry, cat food, and fish (living or dead). They also eat cheeseburgers, a reference to the popular LOL Cats meme "I can haz cheeseburger.” Carnivorous creatures, such as snakes, crocodiles, and beasts, will eat them. Maxwell can carry cats.
All cats (regardless of breed) protect kittens. If Maxwell attacks a kitten, the cats will become hostile and attack Maxwell. They also become angry if he holds a cat or if one is harmed.
If Maxwell is holding bread or toast and selects a cat, he will get a “Use” option. Selecting it turns the cat into a black hole. This is a reference to a Troll Science comic about the “Cat-Toast Paradox”. Since buttered bread always falls butter side down, and cats always land on their feet, putting them together would “logically” destroy space-time.
