Boojum Tree

A Boojum Tree is a tree in the ocotillo family.

Appearance[]

The boojum tree has had several different appearances, depending on the game.

In Scribblenauts, the Boojum Tree was a small, dark brown tree with two trunks in a "V-shape", with several small branches coming off of it. This design remained in Super Scribblenauts and the Scribblenauts Collection.

In Scribblenauts Remix, the Boojum Tree was redesigned to be a single-trunked tree, appearing a light sandy-brown instead of the darker color seen earlier. The tree still has several small branches coming off of it. This design was kept in Scribblenauts Unlimited and Scribblenauts Unmasked.

In Scribblenauts Showdown, the Boojum Tree was redesigned a third time, now being a single, tall trunk with a blotchy green and tan pattern. It has two thick branches rather than several smaller ones, and several leaves can be seen coming off of both of the branches and the trunk itself. This redesign was kept in the Scribblenauts Mega Pack version of Scribblenauts Unlimited, but strangely the Mega Pack version of Scribblenauts Unmasked continues to use the older design from Scribblenauts Remix.

Behavior[]

It can't be chopped like the other trees, but lumberjacks will attack it anyway. Equipping a chainsaw will still present the player with a use option for the Boojum Tree, but this will do nothing.

Trivia[]

  • The Boojum Tree is one of the smallest trees in game, second only to the Bonsai.
  • Even though the boojum tree cannot be chopped, it still has top and bottom sprites as if it were intended to be split.
