Trivia[]

  • Camel case is a form of writing that doesn't use spaces or punctuation, and instead capitalizes the start of every word. It's most commonly seen in brand names (such as "YouTube"), online usernames (such as "ExampleName42"), computer programming (such as "ExampleFile.txt") and website domain names (such as "ExampleWebsiteName.com").
    • It's possible the level's name itself is meant to be written in camel case, such as "CamelCase Oasis". However, no official material confirms this. (Text in-game is written in all caps regardless of circumstance, making the level's in-game name inconclusive.)
  • The shard Fountain of Youth! is a reference to the Fountain of Youth, a mythical spring that supposedly restores the youth of those who drink from it or bath in it, depending on the story.
  • After completing the shard Fountain of Youth!, any objects that come near the large fountainlike Yggdrasil will gain the young adjective.
    • The water sprayed also uses a different effect than other objects with the fountainlike adjective. This isn't actually a property of the level, but instead a unique property of Yggdrasil that can be recreated by the player.
  • The shard Barrel of Monkeys! is a reference to the toy of the same name.
    • The shard was renamed to Monkey Business in Scribblenauts Mega Pack, likely to avoid legal issues. The barrel used for the shard was also changed to not be yellow and to spawn normal monkeys instead of red ones.
  • For the shard Far From Home!, the penguin will accept a polar bear, despite the fact that penguins only live in the South Pole, and polar bears only live in the North Pole.
  • For the shard The Edge of the Rainbow!, attempting to give the leprechaun fool's gold will cause them to attack it. If it's directly put in their hand, they'll be unable to put it down, but will continue showing the fight emotion.
    • If the leprechaun is handed a wand and shown fool's gold, they'll turn it into real gold when they try to attack it, and solve the shard.
  • The animals in this level turn into items when killed, with the alligator becoming a purse, the elephant becoming a piano, and the cheetah becoming a fur coat. This is a reference to how these animals used to be hunted and are still illegally poached to produce items like alligator skin bags, ivory-key pianos, and cheetah-skin fur coats.
  • In the mission Maxwell the Great, a merchant appears. The merchant NPC was removed in Scribblenauts Mega Pack, possibly due to concerns of racial stereotypes, so a shopkeeper appears instead.
    • Despite the NPC being removed from the Mega Pack, the original male merchant still be seen in the mission's thumbnail when selecting it.
