Birds are feathered, Winged, Bipedal, Endothermic, Egg-laying group of vertebrates that emerged within theropod dinosaurs 150 million years ago. They are the only members of the clade that originated with the earliest dinosaurs that survived the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event 66 million years ago, and are considered reptiles in the cladistic sense.
