Doppelily is Doppelganger's sister and is similar to Maxwell's sister Lily.
Apperence[]
Doppelily is an opposite version of Lily. She wears a mint green rooster helmet, a magenta shirt and shoes, and a green skirt. She looks the same as Lily, color aside.
About[]
Scribblenauts Unmasked[]
In Scribblenauts Unmasked, players are tasked with spawning a sister for Doppelganger in the final level (Brainiac's Ship), creating Doppelily. Doppelily gives hints to destroy Brainiac with her idea to summon heroes from another dimension and helps Doppelganger clean up the damage he caused in the DC universe before returning to Earth Í with Maxwell, Lily and Dppelganger.
In the tie-in comics, Doppelily is adopted into Maxwell's family and is renamed Violet, because it is both her favorite flower and color. She is given a magical pocket watch by Julie.
Behavior[]
When spawned, if the player is ever near Doppelily, she will teleport out of the level a few seconds later using an effect similar to Lily's Globe. If Doppelganger is placed near Doppelily instead, she will vanish almost immediately. However, this has no visual effects like with the player. Doppelily can remain in the level indefinitely though, if she is spawned far away from the player and is not approached.
Doppelily follows members of Maxwell's family while expressing the
emotion. This also includes Maxwell himself, as she will often attempt to follow the player before teleporting away.
Trivia[]
- Doppelily's adopted name "Violet", is based on the flower of the same name. Violets don't appear in Scribblenauts Unmasked, and the word is considered a synonym for a Lily.
- In the comic series Scribblenauts Unmasked: A Crisis of Imagination, Doppelily’s shirt was changed from magenta to purple.
- The existence of Doppelily (and Doppelganger) somewhat implies that Maxwell's 40 other siblings and parents also have clones that we haven't seen.
- Despite her story significance, Doppelily doesn't return in Scribblenauts Showdown, similar to all other new objects introduced in Scribblenauts Unmasked.
- It's possible this means Doppelily isn't considered canon, but it's more likely that Showdown was built from Unlimited's object list instead. This would explain the absence of both Doppelily and Unmasked's other inclusions.
