The Drone is a unique vehicle that appears exclusively in the minigame Drone Drop! in Scribblenauts Showdown. It's a flying vehicle used by the player to carry cargo, and is distinct from the standard drone seen elsewhere.
Behavior[]
During the minigame, the drone flies in the air with the player's chosen object dangling from a cord below it. The player can tilt the drone left and right using either motion controls or button controls, depending on the player's system. While tilted, the player can activate the drone's propellers to make it rise in the direction it's tilted.
The drone can also quickly descend. Unlike maneuvering using the fans this is not dependent on which direction the drone is tilted, and instead always goes straight downwards.
The drone's behavior is not impacted by its appearance in the game.
Appearance[]
The drone's appearance is not fixed, and instead changes based on the current avatar. For example, Maxwell uses a red drone, while Lily's drone is green. There are 10 different varieties of drone that can appear.

My Scribblenaut[]
- When making a custom avatar in the My Scribblenaut menu, the player can choose which variant of drone they use for the Drone Drop! minigame. By default, only the red drone is unlocked, and with other variants being purchasable for 5 Starites each. Once purchased, variants can be used an unlimited number of times across all avatars.
Trivia[]
- Regardless of the drone's design, they all use the exact same propeller sprite in-game. However, in the My Scribblenaut vehicle menu both the red and green drones have slightly different propellers compared to the rest, having larger, rounder hubs than usual.
