The Exploding Barrel is large explosive that explodes when dropped or hit, it is often used as an obstacle in many levels where Maxwell must avoid it.

It is extremely fragile, exploding when touching almost anything. It will detonate when touching fire, being electrified or being destroyed; however it won't necessarily explode when taking damage, if you manage to damage it without touching it.
It's attracted by the magnet, however it will most likely explode the moment it moves. When given the harmless adjective, it'll only explode when placed on fire, everything else is safe. Unlike most explosives, it's not affected by the detonator. It is the ammo used by the barrel launcher.
