Getting Fishy! is a wordy minigame in Scribblenauts Showdown.
Object of the game[]
Players compete to catch three fish before their opponent.
Gameplay[]
Before the game, one player spins a wheel to determine a category. Each player must then choose an object that belongs in the category. Players are not required to choose objects that actually fit the category, but fish have a higher chance of biting if your chosen object does fit.
In the game, players use their chosen objects as bait to catch fish. When a fish is caught, players have to be careful when bringing their fishing line up so the bait doesn't get stolen by another fish, causing the player to lose their catch. Whoever catches three fish first wins.

- The minigame uses a unique Boat object with 10 possible designs, with the one used being based on the avatar chosen. Custom avatars created in My Scribblenaut can select which design is used during creation.
- While playing the minigame, the fish players catch are unique, and are all special fish exclusive to the minigame. For a full list of fish that can appear, see here.
