Trivia[]
- The level is named after a grave accent, a mark (`) placed above a letter indicating it is pronounced in a certain way. (example: è) It's also named after a grave, meaning the burial place of a deceased person.
- Destroying the magic broomstick in the basement will cause it to become sentient and create two more of itself. It also becomes nonflammable in the 3DS version of the game.
- This trait can make the broomstick really difficult to remove from the level. If desired, a black hole can be used to destroy it faster than it can replicate itself.
- This is the only level to unlock multiple brothers with a single shard.
- Neither the Coffin or the Piano have the adjective Black in the 3DS version of the game.[1]
- The title of the shard Come Play With Us! refers to a quote from the horror movie, The Shining.
- Strangely, in the shard Come Play With Us! Mix and Mox will accept a boy, but not a girl.
- The completed description of the shard Secret Passage! calls it the "first" secret passage, despite the fact that it's the only one in the level.
- The Starite Shard Let's Do the Mash! is named after the 1962 novelty hit Monster Mash by Bobby "Boris" Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers.
- The Shard was renamed to Monster Boogie! in the Scribblenauts Mega Pack.
- During the mission Ghost Hunter!, the ghost bride does not care about gender, and will accept both grooms and brides.
- She'll even accept both a groom and a bride simultaneously, or multiple brides/grooms if synonyms are used. (such as giving her a "bride", a "virgin (person)", and a "virgo".)
- Touching the chandelier will make it fall, revealing a Guy Fawkes Mask.
- In the Mega Pack it instead reveals an unnamed Comedy Mask, as this version of the game removed the Guy Fawkes mask object.
- One of the objects spawnable with the "@" method glitch is @HauntedHouseBookshelf. This item was likely intended for this level at one point in development, as @HauntedHouseWall is used by the level to contain the Shambler. In it's current state though, no data for the object remains and it instead uses placeholder data of a gift box.
