In Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts the gunpowder doesn't have any special behavior. It can't be set on fire, explode or used as a combustive.
Recent Games
From Scribblenauts Unlimited forwards the gunpowder, when set on fire, it will explode. The player can burn the gunpowder by using a match or a flamethrower.
