A Halfling is a small humanoid that is very short, typically being smaller than the average human. Halflings are friendly, like many fantasy NPCs. Dwarves, Elves, and Wizards will automatically protect Halfings, and Halflings themselves will protect Rings.

- Obviously, this is a reference to Lord of the Rings and other writings featuring Hobbits. Halfling is another name for a Hobbit.
- Halflings share a similar appearence to the munchkin from The Wizard of Oz.
- The Halflings wear a green cape, which is given to the Hobbits in Lord of the Rings.
- Giving the halfling a ring will make it invisible, referencing the effect of the ring to rule them all from Lord of the Rings.
