Swimming
These items, when equipped to Maxwell, will give him the ability to swim underwater. If you let go of the equipment, Maxwell will go on surface of the water.

- Flippers (or Fins)
- Scuba (or Diving Gear)
- Flying Broom
- Magic Carpet
- Wakeboard (speeds up swimming but cannot swim underwater)
- Buoyancy Compensator
- Respirator
- Wet Suit
- Diving Bell
- Diving Helmet
- Air Tank (holding it)
- Rebreather
Riding
Maxwell can also ride Creatures and Vehicles to go underwater. However, if you do not wear any underwater equipment, you can die from drowning.

- Creatures with underwater head equipment.
Vehicles
- Sub (Vehicle) (or Submarine (Vehicle)) (Can also be used for attacking sea creatures)
