Hyphen Heights is a small neighborhood level. In it lies various houses, Inkwell High, Full Stop Diner, a movie theater, concession stand, and a playground. The level contains two Starites and 10 Starite Shards, and is where Maxwell's brothers Duce and Flux can be found.

Trivia

• The area’s name comes from the word "hyphen". Hyphens are the "-" character and look similar to the minus sign "−" character. They're used to combine words together into certain compound words, and can also be used to split a single word across two lines.
• Flux is one of the Maxwell's only brother's to have an adjective by default in a level, being Fearless.
• When entering Hyphen Heights via the map, the 3DS version places the player near Full Stop Diner, unlike all other versions which places them near the Under Line.
• For unknown reasons, the shard Dealing with Duce! cannot easily be solved by modifying Duce with adjectives in the 3DS version of the game. Even adjectives that work on other versions, such as Sleepy, Harmless, Friendly, and Dead fail to satisfy the Boy.
• Two Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men are seen at the end of Out with the Old!
• The Pizza Box the Teen is holding can be emptied to reveal a Pizza only in the 3DS version of the game.
