A Kappa is a Japanese water monster.  It is one of the creatures that can come from the portal. If you give him a cucumber, he will eat it, and if you are playing Super Scribblenauts, he will get the friendly adjective. This is a reference to how the myth says Kappas love cucumbers and befriended humans who gave it to them.  Kappas are also interested in fish.  They don't kill most monsters unless attacked. They are also scared of anything that involves fire on it.
