- In 2013, for unauthorized use of "Keyboard Cat" in the Scribblenauts games; creator Charles Schmidt engaged in a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit against Warner Bros.
- Due to tha aforementioned lawsuit, Keyboard Cat does not make a recurring appearence in any Scribblenauts games to come, starting with Scribblenauts Unmasked.
