A Large Steel Door is a completely indestructible steel item, and a larger variant of the ordinary Steel Door. It is often used as a barrier in levels to block Starites, and can often be opened using a Button or Switch, or by completing some other objective.
In the original Scribblenauts, it went by the name Large Steel Door Blue instead of Large Steel Door. Two other variants of it also existed, Large Steel Door Red and Large Steel Door Green, which served as color variants prior to the introduction of adjectives in Super Scribblenauts.
Appearance[]
It appears as a very tall rectangular blue door with a reflective shine on it. It has two columns of black screws in it represented by black dots.
Behavior[]
When spawned by the player, it simply functions as an indestructible metal object.
In a playground, it is possible to destroy a large steel door by adding a food adjective to it (e.g honeyed, meat, tasty) and then spawning an NPC with the adjective hungry or starving. It can also be destroyed in levels by creating a Cannibalistic Large Steel Door and letting it eat the original.
Trivia[]
- The Red and Green Large Steel Doors have unused sprites in Scribblenauts Unlimited, suggesting they may have been intended to return at one point.
- For unknown reasons, the Large Steel Door was removed from Scribblenauts Showdown, and cannot be spawned.
