Lily is Maxwell's twin sister, introduced in Scribblenauts Unlimited.

Appearance[]

Lily wears a pink Rooster Helmet that covers her head and her pigtails. It resembles her mother Julie’s helmet and is also very similar to Maxwell's (except pink). As seen in the My Scribblenaut customization menu in Scribblenauts Showdown , her actual hair is styled into pigtail buns, and the top of her hair resembles the bumps on her Rooster Helmet. Her hair color is unknown. She also wears a light blue T-shirt (in game) or blue tank top (artwork) with a star on theicenter. She carries a brown bag and wears a pink miniskirt ( it is a knee-length skirt in some artwork) and light blue shoes with pink socks. If you look closely in the artwork, you will see that she has mascara to enhance her eyes.

In the Mobile version of Scribblenauts Unlimited, Lily also has multiple alternate outfits available as purchasable avatars. These include a bunny suit, vacation outfit, school uniform, mummy costume, pilgrim outfit, and Mrs. Claus outfit.

Personality[]

Since Lily has an excessive amount of brothers, she acts as a tomboy with her best friend being Maxwell. She is shown to enjoy many of the same things as Maxwell, such as pulling pranks and comic books. Lily often argues with Maxwell about whose favorite comic book character would win in a fight.

About[]

Scribblenauts Remix[]

In Scribblenauts Remix, Lily was added as a free avatar in version 5.70. She is unlocked by signing up for WBID.[1] She is not featured in any levels, as Remix mainly reuses levels from Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts.

Scriblenuats Unlimited[]

Lily is first introduced in Scribblenauts Unlimited. After Maxwell tricks an old man with a rotten apple, Lily is cursed and turns to stone throughout the game when the player collects starites. She is unlocked as a playable character after collecting 60 starites and completing the story.

In the ending cutscene, it is revealed that the old man who cursed Lily was her and Maxwell's father, Edgar. He cursed Lily to teach Maxwell a lesson about being a good person and not taking his magical notebook for granted.

Scribblenauts Unmasked[]

In Scribblenauts Unmasked, Lily is one of the main characters, alongside Maxwell.

Both big fans of DC Comics, Maxwell and Lily decide that the best way to settle their disagreements about which of their favorite characters would win in a fight would be to ask them in person. Maxwell writes Gotham City in his notebook and combines it with Lily's globe in order to travel there. Her globe breaks upon impact when landing in Gotham City.
Spoilers end here.

In the tie-in comics, Lily is a main character in the story, along with Maxwell, Doppelganger, and Doppelily.

Scribblenuats Showdown[]

In Scribblenauts Showdown, Lily is a playable character that can be used in both the minigames and the sandbox mode. Additionally, in certain minigames, players use vehicles that visually change based on their selected Scribblenaut. Lily uses the following vehicles:

Vehicles
Getting Fishy! Balancing Act! Drone Drop!
Tower Topple! Rocket Rubble! Red Rover!

Her clothes and Rooster Helmet also appear in the My Scribblenaut character creator and can be used on any custom scribblenaut.

Trivia[]

  • When you don't use her as an avatar, she stands in the barn until you spawn a creature that turns anything to stone, like a gorgon or cockatrice.
  • Strangly in the mobile version of Scribblenauts Unlimited, Lily will remain in Edwin's barn even when playing as her, resulting in two Lilys.
  • She can be obtained from the very start if you use "The '@' Method".
  • Lily’s sprite in the console version of Scribblenauts Unlimited is drastically different from her sprite in the mobile version, having a larger head and less shading.
  • Lily was originally intended to be playable as a female version of Maxwell in the original Scribblenauts, but the idea was scrapped.
  • One way to get her as an object is to unlock her as an avatar and use her. Next, add the resurrective adjective to yourself and something that can kill you, but not the entire level. Let it kill you and it will be the same as whenever you die except that there will be a copy of you where you died. Add a feeling adjective (such as neutral or friendly) and it will become a normal NPC. This also works with any of the playable avatars.
  • In the mobile version of Scribblenauts Unlimited, two of Lily's purchasable outfits misspell her name as "Lilly", being the School Uniform and Mummy Costume. The rest of her avatars spell her name correctly.
  • Shadow will attack Lily in the Batcave in Scribblenauts Unmasked, due to her holding a camera.
  • If you put the Lily you got using the balloon rope cheat in the object editor and save her, she will be able to walk and you can move her. This also works if you put the adjective "cloned" on her, as the clone will walk and be movable.
  • If you turn Lily evil in the Batcave and spawn Scarecrow, there is a chance of Edgar spawning with a new Lily and turning her to stone without the Curse Breaking Cane.
  • Interestingly, when you use the arcade machine, her shirt is gray along with most of her hat except one of the pigtails.
  • In Scribblenauts Unmasked, if you attack Lily, sometimes she will say "How dare you hit your sister!" and will become huge, angry, and demonic before attacking anyone nearby.
  • In Scribblenauts Unlimited, Lily refers to her parents as "Grandpa Edgar" and "Grandma Julie" during the opening cutscene, suggesting she has children or nephews/nieces to whom she is recounting the events of the story.
  • In Scribblenauts Showdown, Lily's hair can be seen through her Rooster Hat by using adjectives that make her transparent. She has orange hair with three smaller bumps at the top and two pigtails in the back, in a similar manner to her hat.
    • Her hair can be better seen by viewing Lily's head in the game's My Scribblenaut avatar editor.
  • Lily's rooster hat appeared as a promotional hat in Team Fortress 2, being the "Lilly" style of the Cockfighter.
  • Lily was going to have a figurine produced by Jazwares. However, it was scrapped at the last minute for unknown reasons. A former 5TH Cell employee speculated that it was due to concerns that she wasn't a popular enough character and wouldn't have sold as well as toys featuring Maxwell.[2]
