A magnifying glass (called a hand lens in laboratory contexts) is a convex lens that is used to produce a magnified image of an object. The lens is usually mounted in a frame with a handle. A magnifying glass can be used to focus light, such as to concentrate the sun's radiation to create a hot spot at the focus for fire starting.
Behavior
In Scribblenauts the magnifying glass can cause objects to burn, but in later game it only gives the "Hot" adjective to objects. If you try heating cookable item it will replace by it's cooked variant.
If you try heating an ant it will instantly kill the animal, in reference to the habit of children burning ants with the magnifying glass. But any other insect can be killed by the same method
This object does not have many interactions with NPCs. The only NPC that seems to react to it is the Detective that will equip the object while expressing the 
Emotion.
