The Man-Eating Plant is a fictional form of carnivorous plant large enough to kill and consume a human or other large animal.

Appearance[]

It takes the appearance of a potted plant with two leaves, a green stem and two yellow jaws as its head.

Behavior[]

It has 40 health points, weights the same as a child and sinks on water. It moves extremely slowly and can't swim. It is able to wear head and facial clothing. It is a hostile creature, attacking people and the player, its bite attack deals 20 of damage.

It eats birds (except for cassowaries, emus and ostriches), prey fishes, insects (except for aquatic ones, like the crab, seahorse, conch etc.), small and tiny mammals, lizards, amphibians, meat and flesh. It runs away from fire, fireballs and lava, despite not being flammable.

It is one of two NPCs that grows when a fertilizer is used on it, the other is the Treant. Botanists will protect this object, despite man-eating plants being hostile towards them.
