A Mermaid is a magical aquatic creature who appears as a beautiful woman with a fish tail covered in green scales. In folklore and mythology mermaids are beautiful water maidens that live in the sea and, according to legend, can sometimes be seen jumping out of the sea like dolphins to lure sailors into the water. They should not be confused with Sirens, who are hostile in both legend and the games. Mermaids cannot breathe on land however she can breathe on land in-game. She is friendly and cannot walk, instead slithering along the ground. When a Siren is summoned, it will attack the Mermaid but the Mermaid will simply run away. They are interested in Mermen and small fish and are aggressive towards sharks.

Creating a Male mermaid will create a Merman and vice versa. Making Poseidon spawns a Merman with a crown.
