Ocean Liner is the second sandbox level in Scribblenauts Showdown. The level takes place on a large passenger ship in icy waters.

Blinded by Science	The scientist needs a collaborator with tools and lab equipment to make a discovery.	Give any type of scientist, a laboratory and a microscope to the scientist located on the bottom floor of the ship.
What a mess!	Clean up, clean up, everybody do their share.	Grab the toothbrush, the washcloth and the candy bar and place it inside the garbage can.
Beauty and the Beast	Can you make a love connection?	Give a romantic flower (e.g.: rose, daisy etc) to the bellhop in the middle floor of the ship.
Admiral's Orders	The sailors have their marching orders.	Give a GPS, a spyglass and a vaccine to the three sailors at the top of the ship.
Hungry Bear	What do polar bears eat?	Give a fish to the polar bear.
Little Mermaid	Find the hidden mermaid under the sea.	Pet the giant clam under the sea.
The band plays on	One musician is not like the others.	Give a musical instrument to the musician without one.
Man's best friend	The traveling businessman needs a companion.	Give a dog to the businessman.
Executive Chef	It takes a balanced meal to feed this crew.	Give a vegetable and a meat to the chef.
Four Eyes	The drink menu has such small print.	Give eyeglasses to the barista holding a menu.

Trivia

• While not explicitly stated, the Ocean Liner level as a whole is heavily inspired by the RMS Titanic, a British ocean liner that famously sank after hitting an iceberg in 1912.
  • The ship's design closely resembles the Titanic, with a black-and-red hull and four smoke stacks in the same layout.
  • A large iceberg is part of the level's terrain, referencing the iceberg that the Titanic struck.
  • The level's description refers to the Ocean Liner as an "unsinkable ship", which was a phrase commonly used to refer to the Titanic.
  • The line "Go back in time and change the fate of the passengers on board." in the level description implies the ship will have the same fate as the Titanic without the player's intervention.
• In the mission Beauty and the Beast the beauty is always female, but the bellhop spawns with a random gender, potentially resulting in a same-gender relationship.
• The "Beauty and the Beast" and "Little Mermaid" Starites are references to the Disney movies of the same name.
• The back of the ship features three nautical signal flags, which are often flown by vessels as a way to communicate to between each other.
  • The three flags seen are, from top to bottom, "Five" "India" and "Lima", or 5IL. When flown alone they mean, "Five", "I am altering my course to port", and "You should stop your vessel immediately". However, when flown together they have no particular meaning.
• A map of Earth can be found inside the ship, which may imply that Scribblenauts Showdown takes place on Earth itself, rather than the fictional Earth Í seen in Scribblenauts Unlimited and Scribblenauts Unmasked.
