Petrified is an adjective in Super Scribblenauts and all the following games. It turns the target to stone (originally caused by Stone Magic) and renders them unable to move. In Scribblenauts, this state will only last for about 3 seconds. Medusa, Basilisk, Cockatrice, and Catoblepas can cause this effect. Adjectives like Frozen can remove the effect.
If a enemy applies it to Maxwell in Scribblenauts Unlimited it will not prevent movement but will make him drop his weapon. In the case of the Cockatrice adjectives do not seem to stop it from petrifying you if you aggravate as it fires Stone Magic (<Same projectile as Medusa Head) and has the stone glance like Medusa.
