Pirates wear a pirate hat and wield a cutlass. They will ride a pirate ship. In Super Scribblenauts they are not hostile towards Maxwell, and Liz takes the form of a Pirate who makes everyone else pirates. Pirates will fight Ninjas and get attacked by Cops. This is a reference to the Pirates vs Ninjas meme. They do not like the Kraken and can easily defeat one. Pirates can swim underwater and they will steal a weapon if they do not have one. They are interested in Monkeys and Parrots. They will also steal money empty-handed.

Unlike the male pirate, the female pirate does not have a hook hand or peg leg. The female pirate has long, yellow hair.
