Solutions
Part 1
Any melee or ranged weapon will work. Dragonlike potions work as well (oh yeah), since he will eat the smaller animals and will always win against the snake.
Part 2
Use a "Toxic" or "Poisonous" weapon.
Part 3
Use a "Flaming" or "Fire-breathing" weapon.
Part 4
Use an "Icy","Magic" or "Freezing" weapon.
Part 5
Use a "Holy" or "Deadly" weapon.
