Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is the 5th installment in the Scribblenauts series, released on September 24, 2013, on PC, Wii U, and 3DS.
The game was developed with a license from DC Comics, thanks to Warner Bros' publishing of the Scribblenauts series. It includes almost every single character from the DC universe, with over 2,000 DC objects, including 33 different iterations of Batman.[1]Maxwell will have to complete quests in DC locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City, Atlantis, and more. A new type of puzzle, known as Heroic Feats, continuously generates new adventures and puzzles in the various locations. Your reputation will increase when you solve the puzzles. Unmasked stars series hero Maxwell and follows his adventures to aid various DC superheroes.
Plot[]
The game begins with a speech about heroes, and then the player finds Maxwell and Lily in Gotham City.

After a brief encounter with The Joker and Deadshot, Maxwell travels to Metropolis where he is introduced to a certain type of challenge and faces Lex Luthor and Metallo. Through his travels to Oa, Central City, Arkham Asylum, The Fortress of Solitude, etc, etc, he faces off many foes before arriving at The Watchtower where the mastermind is revealed to be Brainiac, who is defeated. Doppelganger then becomes good and is given a sister (Doppelily). |

Missions[]
NOTE: The game is out but we do not have all the levels. Here are some that are fake:
One source describes a linear level beginning in the sewers beneath Wayne Manor that is never explored in-game. a hungry Killer Croc won’t let Max proceed. When a hamburger isn’t enough, a dynamite sandwich sends Croc into a rage, leading to his arrest. Robin keeps the situation under control, allowing Max to make his way inside Wayne Manor (where Batman has been manipulated by The Joker) before discovering Batgirl’s capture in the Batcave. All of this does not happen within the events of the game.
In another situation, Max encounters two police officers and must decipher which one is legit and which is actually Clayface. An X-ray exposes the villain, and when handcuffs fail to stop the sludge-monster, a freeze-gun does the trick; this never happens in-game.

In the final missions (the final mission is divided into parts in the mission launcher), It is required to type in Doppelily to accomplish the mission.
Story missions are shown to mostly include Maxwell's nemesis Doppelganger accompanying a DC Comics villain and attack certain heroes prompting Maxwell to undo Doppelganger's actions. |

Hero Creator[]
The Hero Creator is a mode in Scribblenauts Unmasked and is an improved version of the Object Editor from Scribblenauts Unlimited. It allows players to create their own Superheroes or Villains by using other pieces of Objects or just Objects that are in Scribblenauts Unmasked. It also allows players to add powers and abilities of DC comics characters to their custom object. For example, you can use Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) as your Base Object, then you can delete his Head and Arms and replace them with Batman's Head and Arms, then color Batman's Mask Green and his Gloves Green, then just save the Object and name it something like: "Green Lantern Batman" (or, for more hardcore fans, "In Darkest Knight Batman"). You can also Share your Objects by Uploading them to Steam or online. The Hero Creator is not in the 3DS Version of the game.
New Features[]
- 2000 DC objects included in the game, as well as various DC locations.
- Special Heroic Feat missions generate new adventures and puzzles in each location.
- Hero Creator to create super heroes and super villains and share them Online.
- The Batcomputer is an item dictionary that shows items, characters, etc. The item dictionary shows what each item does and related things to it. It only shows DC objects.
- In the Wii U version, there is a multiplayer option called "Sidekick Mode," which allows for other players to join by using a Wii remote and selecting a spawned object. The player will then be able to control the object and use the attacks the object is able to use.

Trivia[]
- Scribblenauts Unmasked was released on National Punctuation Day in North America and the PC version in Europe. This may be a reference to Maxwell's notebook.
- Nearly all (if not all) of the internet memes from the previous Scribblenauts games are absent from Scribblenauts Unmasked.
- Characters from Amalgam Comics were considered but couldn't be used for legal reasons since Amalgam Comics was a collaborative publishing imprint shared by both DC and Marvel.[2]
- A Walmart exclusive special edition was released, which included a DVD of the movie Green Lantern: Emerald Knights as a bonus disc.
- 5th Cell did not have the rights to include any characters from DC animated media, only the comics. They were able to get around this with a loophole, which allowed them to, if any of the shows or movies had comic tie-ins.[3]
