Shadow is Maxwell's ninja brother. He can be found in Sir Guillemet's Castle.

Appearance

Shadow's garb consists of a gray ninja outfit and a red headband around his gray rooster helmet. In the family photo, Shadow wears gray gloves and his belt and the trimming of his outfit are white.

How to unlock

You can get the 'Dungeon Break!' shard on Sir Guillemet's Castle.

Shadow can be unlocked as an avatar by obtaining his Starite Shard. Shadow and his companions need to be rescued from the dungeon. Maxwell can assist him by creating an object that can be used to release them or help them break out, such as a key, a nail file, or a hacksaw. Note that if the jail cell is "emptied" before the prisoners can escape, the player will not receive a Starite Shard for their efforts and Shadow will be attacked by the guard. If this occurs, the level will need to be reset in order to make the Shard obtainable.

Trivia

Shadow's name is a reference to the shadows that ninjas often hide in.
Shadow gets the adjective armed when he is near Yarrr and will start attacking him, in reference to the Ninjas vs Pirates debate.
Shadow will attack the Lily that spawns in the Batcave in Scribblenauts Unmasked. Note that he will not attack Lily if she is spawned using the "@" method.
He is one of four brothers that do not smile, the others being Gorge, Tiny, and Glum.
