Starite Shards are fragments of Starites that appear in Scribblenauts Unlimited. When 10 are collected, they are combined to form a full Starite.
The main way of earning Starite Shards is by helping people and completing tasks found in the game's various levels, with each task typically being small and requiring much less effort than those that reward a full Starite.
There are also a special types of Starite shards known as Object Shards. Instead of the normal kind, Object Shards can be earned in any level, and typically require the player to spawn certain items and/or interact with them in certain ways.
