A Werewolf is a hostile creature that will attack Maxwell and most other NPCs if given the chance. To defeat it, the player can use conventional weapons (or you can render it non-hostile by summoning a sun, or using silver, a cross, or holy water). In Super Scribblenauts the adjective Lycanthropic will spawn an object with an emotion of a scary face, in Scribblenauts Unlimited the object will have the emotion showing a crescent moon an. When the full moon is spawned near an object with the adjective Lycanthropic the object will have fangs and will have another adjective, shaggy applied to it. Werewolves are above average in both offense and defence when compared to other creatures.

The female counterpart has a white top covering the chest and has a pink bow.
Trivia
- If it attacks a human NPC(Man, Woman, Chef, Marius, etc.), the human will be transformed into a werewolf as well. Other humans (Fifth-cell members), like Jeremiah, will not be affected by lycanthropy.
- A werewolf will change back to a human if the moon dissapears, or if attacked with silver, if the sun was spawned or a crescent moon appears.
- If wolves can be found on the level, they will treat the werewolf as an alpha, and follow him around until he is removed/humanized. The werewolf will not attack the wolves.
- Oddly, if a moon or full moon is placed, the werewolf will turn into a man, other than the other way around. This is useful in levels where a werewolf is an enemy (specifically level P9-5).
- Note that the moon also does this in Super Scribblenauts, but a full moon does not.
- If you make a Sun it will turn into a Man and if you make a Full Moon after that, It will make a man with the 'Lycanthropic' adjective.
