A winged object will gain a set of wings and become able to fly.
Behavior[]
If applied to a non-mythical animal that has wings for arms (ie. a bat or any type of bird), the adjective will have no effect unless the object has the adjective “armless” or “wingless”, in which case the adjective will be removed and its wings will be restored.
If applied to an object that has equippable wings (wings that are dropped when the object dies), it will have no effect on them, but their wings will gain a pair of equippable wings. All types of wings will gain the default bird wings.
If applied to an object that normally spawns with equippable wings, but has lost them due to their “wingless” adjective, they will gain a pair of equippable wings, though not necessarily the pair they usually spawn with.
If applied to any other object (even an object that has wings, such as a butterfly), it will gain a pair of equippable wings.
Equipable wings are removable. If removed, the wielder can no longer fly.
Wing type[]
Objects will be given different types of wings depending on their alignment and species.
- Bat wings: evil humanoids (prisoner, thief), dark mages (witch, warlock, witchdoctor), some animals (eel, worm), and most monsters (ghost, manticore, ifrit, kappa, Anubis, wingless devil, but not monster)
- Butterfly wings: some magical beings, especially those linked to nature (dryad, druid, mermaid, selkie, but not Mother Nature or wingless fairy)
- Dragon wings: dragons (wingless dragon, Chinese dragon, dragon egg, sea dragon), reptiles (snake, lizard), amphibians (frog, salamander), dinosaurs and similar creatures (velociraptor, plesiosaurus), most reptilian and semi-reptilian mythical creatures (sea serpent, gorgon, crocoduck, but not tsuchinoko), neutral mages (wizard, enchantress), plants (tree, flower), and most green mythical creatures (ooze, Jenny Greenteeth, cecaelia, martian, but not monster or kappa)
- Insect wings: insects (ant, caterpillar), arachnids (spider, scorpion), and non-monstrous crustaceans (crab, pillbug, but not giant enemy crab)
- Wings: everything else
