Yoshi is a small, green dinosaur and one of the main characters from the Mario series as well as having his own spinoff series. He first debuted in Super Mario World as a character for Mario to ride on. He can eat almost anything. He lays eggs after eating most enemies. Although he comes in several colors, the default is usually green. His tongue has many uses besides eating, including acquiring items otherwise unobtainable (such as behind a barrier or at an unreachable height).

Most Yoshis are male, although there have been females.

In Scribblenauts Unlimited

In Scribblenauts Unlimited Yoshi appears in 8 colors, even though they act the same. Mario and Luigi will ride on them, Yoshi also attacks any Mario villains and randomly lays Yoshi Eggs which don't do anything.
